CAFE Association Calls on Cryptocurrency Industry Leaders to Join Nationwide Fraud-Prevention Effort

The Cryptocurrency Anti-Fraud Education (CAFE) Association today issued an open call for membership, urging cryptocurrency companies, kiosk operators, and fintech platforms to join a growing international coalition of responsible industry leaders dedicated to protecting consumers from digital asset fraud and abuse.
The announcement comes amid renewed scrutiny of crypto-related fraud following a wave of enforcement actions, rising reports of consumer losses, and high-profile scams exploiting cash-to-crypto transactions and AI-enabled impersonation schemes.
“Every week, we see new stories of families, seniors, and small businesses being targeted by crypto scammers,” said Edward “Coach” Weinhaus, Esq., CAFE’s interim founding executive director. “There are companies in this industry who work hard to do the right thing — we are here to provide them the structure, tools, and credibility to translate that commitment to consumers. CAFE was created to help do exactly that.”
The association provides members with access to fraud-prevention resources, research collaborations, and best-practice frameworks to help operators identify, deter, and respond to scams. Through education campaigns, data analysis, and outreach, CAFE arms consumers, businesses, and lawmakers with the knowledge and standards to stop fraud and to continue to build trust in digital finance.
Membership is open to cryptocurrency companies of all sizes. Members gain access to educational campaigns, fraud-prevention design standards, a forthcoming 24/7 Anti-Fraud Hotline, and participation in collaborative policy, best practice, and research initiatives.
