The Cryptocurrency Anti-Fraud Education (CAFE) Association is a nonprofit consumer education corporation working to prevent crypto-related fraud and scams. CAFE is building an industry-supported organization dedicated to consumer protection, education, and collaboration across the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Leadership

Erica Chavin
Director
Erica Chavin is a seasoned nonprofit executive who currently serves as Director of Finance & Operations at the Scintillon Research Institute, where she has helped scale operations and financial systems since joining in 2015. She was also the founding CFO of the Center for Child-Safe Divorce and is deeply involved with Children of the Court, where her nonprofit leadership has emphasized financial literacy, consumer protection, and advocacy for vulnerable families.

Anna Milne
Director of Research
Anna Milne is a fintech journalist, researcher, and advocate for transparency, known for her incisive analyses of emerging financial technologies and regulatory environments. Her work—spanning crypto policy, consumer protection, and institutional accountability—bridges complex technical subjects and public understanding.

Edward “Coach” Weinhaus, Esq.
Interim Founding Executive Director
Edward “Coach” Weinhaus is an attorney and cryptocurrency regulatory academic with deep experience in financial services, compliance, and fraud enforcement. Over his career, he has built multiple cryptocurrency companies, advised various branches of the US government, and taught Booth’s first cryptocurrency and blockchain course. He currently serves as the CEO of Judiciocracy LLC, a legal media publication, including cryptocurrency legal journal BlockTribune.
